North Miami runs from Biscayne Boulevard out toward the bay, with Oleta River State Park at its edge and Florida International University's Biscayne Bay campus in the middle. Streets are wide and residential, parking is easy, and the Museum of Contemporary Art sits right on 125th Street. It is calmer than the urban core and closer to the water than most of Miami proper.
